Vegetable Pakora


  • 4 large onions.thinly sliced
  • 4 large potatoes, diced into small cubes. Par boil the cubes (5mins)
  • 1 broccoli head
  • 1 small cauliflower par boiled then cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 of a bag of gram flour


  • 1 large spoonful coriander seeds 
  • 1 large spoonful cumin seeds
  • 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons of coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons of garam masala
  • 2 large spoonful of chilli powder
  • 2 large spoonful of salt
  • fenugreek dried leaves
  • 2 large spoonful
  • 1 bunch of fresh coriander leaves chopped


  1. Put the sliced onions in large pot…add all the spices & dried spices
  2. Mix well then add potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, mix well again
  3. Add flour gradually till you get the consistency of thick gloopy porridge
  4. If it’s to thin add flour till thick
  5. The best way to mix is to get your hands into it.
  6. Let it sit for half an hour
  7. Heat oil in a pot
  8. tablespoon mix into hot oil 7-8 bits at a time
  9. Fry till golden brown
  10. Drain on kitchen paper
