Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms

Summary: This is a delicious high-class crab starter or appetizer to impress your friends at your home dinner party. Use premium quality crab and parmesan cheese for the best taste.

Ingredients

  • 400 g of cooked crabmeat
  • 24 large mushrooms
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 finely chopped spring (green) onions
  • 3 rashers of bacon, chopped small
  • 1 stalk celery, minced
  • 1/4 red onion, finely chopped
  • 6 black olives, finely chopped
  • 50 g mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 slice of bread, crumbed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill
  • 150 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon of Tabasco sauce
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Use a teaspoon to scoop out the stalk and some of the flesh from inside each mushroom
  2. Chop up and mix all the ingredients listed above
  3. Place the mixture into the mushrooms
  4. Set the stuffed mushrooms on a rack over a baking tray to allow the moisture to drain as they cook
  5. Bake in your oven for 20 minutes at 180°r;C
  6. Top with more parmesan cheese or mozzarella and bake for a few more minutes, just until the cheese has melted

Quick Notes

The bigger and rounder the mushrooms, the more you can stuff inside. For the best flavour, use goo quality ingredients such as quality crab meat and real parmesan cheese.
